Masstemps are seeking an experienced Sheet Metal Welding & Fabrication Team Leader to oversee daily welding and fabrication operations. You will lead by example, ensure targets are met and health and safety standards are followed.

The role requires hands-on leadership, engineering drawing interpretation and strong welding know-how. The ideal candidate will supervise a team, plan production, maintain quality and drive continuous improvement in a busy workshop environment.

Formación

• Proven experience in sheet metal fabrication and welding.
• Experience supervising or leading a team in manufacturing or fabrication.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.
• Strong knowledge of welding techniques, fabrication methods and workshop equipment.
• Good organisational and time-management skills.
• Ability to prioritise workloads and meet production deadlines.
• Strong communication, problem-solving and decision-making skills.

Responsabilidades

• Lead, supervise and motivate a team of sheet metal fabricators and welders.
• Allocate daily workloads and ensure jobs are completed on time and to specification.
• Provide guidance, support and on-the-job training to team members.
• Monitor team performance, productivity and attendance.
• Oversee sheet metal fabrication, welding, assembly and finishing operations.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings and fabrication plans.
• Carry out quality checks and ensure all work meets required standards.
• Plan and coordinate daily production activities to meet delivery deadlines.
• Monitor job progress and report delays, issues or resource requirements.
• Ensure materials, equipment and tools are available to maintain workflow.
• Support the team with hands-on welding and fabrication duties when required.
