Job summary

Marshall Recruitment is seeking a Working Foreman / Assistant Manager to join an established construction team in Cambridge. You will supervise day-to-day on-site activities, lead by example, and coordinate subcontractors and site trades on refurbishment and construction projects.

The role combines hands-on trade work with responsibility for project delivery, quality and safety. You will work closely with the Project Manager and clients, helping projects run smoothly and on programme while

Qualifications

• Strong construction trade background.
• Carpentry background preferred.
• Experience supervising trades on site.
• Confident coordinating subcontractors and site teams.
• Good health & safety understanding.
• Organised, reliable and practical.
• Clear communication with clients and colleagues.
• Aiming to develop into site management.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate day-to-day on-site activities.
• Lead hands-on work and set an example.
• Coordinate subcontractors and site trades.
• Ensure work is completed safely and to high standards.
• Help keep projects on programme and meet deadlines.
• Liaise with Project Manager, clients and suppliers.
• Maintain site records and documentation.
• Identify and resolve on-site issues quickly.
• Support day-to-day running of projects.
