Job summary

Pavilion Recruitment Solutions is supporting a fast-growing global technology-led business in Brighton with an Assistant Accountant on a 9-month fixed-term contract. You'll own a range of daily and month-end processes, ensuring accurate reporting, strong controls and a smooth close, while collaborating with the finance team and Customer Experience to resolve queries and support improvements using AI tools.

This hands-on role is ideal for someone with prior Assistant Accountant experience who

Qualifications

• Experience in an Assistant Accountant or Finance Assistant position.
• AAT Level 3 or above, or equivalent experience.
• Strong Excel and wider IT skills with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily sales and purchase reconciliations against cash received and paid.
• Investigate transaction issues and track to resolution.
• Perform bank reconciliations and ensure stock position is recorded.
• Process daily payments and assist month-end tasks.
• Support monthly/quarterly financial reporting and ad hoc projects.
• Collaborate with Customer Experience to resolve payment queries.
• Identify opportunities for continuous improvement in finance processes.
