Job summary

Greenjets is a UK-based engineering company developing high-performance propulsion systems for aviation. We seek a Team Lead Production to guide 4–8 technicians, ensuring safe, efficient daily targets and top-quality outcomes.

You will be hands-on, close to the work, and responsible for driving performance, coaching the team and resolving production, technical and people issues in a fast-moving environment.

Qualifications

• Experience within a manufacturing, production or assembly environment.
• Strong hands-on technical or mechanical assembly capability.
• Previous experience leading, mentoring or coordinating small teams.
• Good understanding of production processes, quality standards and safe working practices.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to make sound decisions under pressure and prioritise effectively.
• Proactive approach to problem solving and continuous improvement.
• High levels of accountability, organisation and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Lead, motivate and coordinate a team of 4–8 Production Technicians during daily operations.
• Set clear expectations around quality, productivity, safety and behaviours.
• Monitor production progress and adjust priorities to meet delivery targets.
• Take ownership of daily output, identifying risks early and escalating when needed.
• Maintain right-first-time manufacturing and product quality.
• Work hands-on alongside the team to assist assembly and troubleshooting.
• Act as first point of escalation for production, technical and people issues.
• Keep production areas organised, clean and operating efficiently.
• Identify tooling, equipment or resource gaps and drive resolutions.
• Promote proper use and maintenance of production tools and assets.
• Uphold health and safety, attendance, professionalism and teamwork.
• Coach and support team members, fostering a positive, high-performance culture.
• Support continuous improvement activities to boost productivity and quality.
