Job summary

NHS Scotland is seeking an experienced Senior Charge Nurse to lead Ward 34 at Victoria Hospital (Haematology/Oncology). The role focuses on delivering safe, person-centred care, leading a 4-weekday schedule with weekend duties, and facilitating continuous professional development for the nursing team.

Candidates should have Band 6 Charge Nurse experience and be prepared to undertake SACT training and UKONS Passport; PVG clearance is required before appointment, with compliance to UK work rights

Qualifications

• Band 6 Charge Nurse experience.
• Experience in Acute Medicine.
• Haematology/Oncology nursing experience desirable.

Responsibilities

• Provide strong clinical, theoretical and practical leadership to the nursing team.
• Promote collaboration with multi-disciplinary colleagues within and outside the unit.
• Deliver high standards of nursing care and drive change through visible leadership.
• Manage and develop the nursing team's performance and contribute to NHS Fife objectives.
• Support the Duty Charge Nurse role out of hours.
