Cwm Taf Morgannwg University Health Board is seeking a dedicated Band 6 chemotherapy nurse to join the Haematology Day Unit. The post involves 2/3 days focused on developing and streamlining the nurse-led Hemochromatosis service, with the rest spent on the Haematology day unit, within CTMUHB.
You will provide expert advice and education to staff to improve safety and the overall quality of care. The role also includes local audits and incident investigations with reporting to relevant forums.
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dedicated and dynamic nurse to join our team at the Haematology Day Unit at Prince Charles Hospital & Royal Glamorgan Hospital. The position will involve 2/3 days developing and streamlining the nurse led Hemochromatosis service and the remainder of the time on the Haematology day unit. We are a small, friendly and experienced team, we strive to deliver excellent patient care, working closely with our colleagues in the multidisciplinary team to ensure patients and their families receive care which is tailored to meet their individual needs. The role will include providing expert advice, education to all levels of staff to improve the safety and effectiveness of the practice throughout the CTMUHB, in accordance with NPSA notice 18 and ensure cancer standards are adhered to as in Cancer Delivery Plan (2016-2020). Amongst other aspects of the role the post holder will be expected to perform local audits, incident investigation and subsequent reports to the relevant forums.
