Job summary

North West Anglia NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a dedicated clinician to support the Haematology Clinical Nurse Specialist in delivering personalised care to haematology patients while developing expertise in the specialty.

You will assist in clinics alongside consultants, manage post-clinic follow-ups, handle patient telephone enquiries, and coordinate information with primary care to ensure seamless care.

Responsibilities

• Support the Clinical Nurse Specialist in the Haematology team to deliver personalised care to Haematology patients whilst developing your own skills and knowledge within the speciality.
• To support patients in clinics alongside consultants- offering holistic care and support where necessary.
• Follow up with patient post clinic to ensure continuity of support.
• Managing the telephone enquiries of patients and their carers; prioritising, assessing and escalating as appropriate.
• To support the Clinical Nurse Specialist in the preparation of the nurse led clinics liaising with primary care providers to ensure all relevant medical details are available for the clinics.
• Priority will be given to colleagues identified as at risk through the Trust's redeployment process.
