Job Overview

Mediplacements is looking for an experienced band 6 Biomedical Scientist in Haematology for a vacancy in Bristol.

The pay for this position is up to £25 per hour, and we are looking for someone who can start as soon as possible for an ongoing duration.

Lab Equipment

This lab uses Beckman Coulter DxH900s, Werfen ACL TOPS, Sebia HbA1c analyser, Biorad Haemoglobinopathy.

Candidate will be expected to support validation and morphology.

Responsibilities
  • Performing and interpreting a range of laboratory tests on blood and other body fluid.
  • Maintaining and troubleshooting laboratory equipment.
  • Record keeping and quality control.
  • Providing results and advice to medical staff.
  • Participating in continuing education and training.
Qualifications

The ideal candidate will be HCPC registered and fully competent in Haematology, Coagulation and Blood Transfusion, and will be able to work effectively as part of a team as well as independently.
