Job summary

South Lanarkshire Council is seeking a Housing Officer in East Kilbride. The role involves delivering housing services to customers, with an emphasis on homelessness, allocations, estate management and rent recovery. Strong IT, organisational and communication skills are essential.

You will liaise with various agencies, support service delivery, and work within Housing Services. This is a permanent, part-time position with 17.5 hours per week.

An exciting opportunity for career development has arisen for experienced individual to join the East Kilbride Housing Team within Housing Services.

As a Housing Officer you will be responsible for delivering a wide range of housing services to our customers therefore, you should have similar experience of working within a housing related environment and have an understanding of current issues and legislation in relation to homelessness, allocations, estate management, rent recovery and dealing with anti- social behaviour.

Excellent IT skills are required as well as the ability to organise and prioritise workload in an effective way and to respond and adapt to changing priorities required in delivering a quality service.

You should possess excellent communication skills and have the ability to liaise effectively with a variety of agencies.
