Cumbria, Monday to Friday with flexi time. Permanent, Full Time role, £45,000 to £50,000 + Pension + Health cash back plan, Holidays

An excellent opportunity has arisen at a British manufacturing company seeking an experienced Health & Safety Manager. The company offers long term security and technical challenge.

Role Description

• Work with Senior Managers to ensure a safe working environment and provide advice where appropriate.
• Determine the strategic direction and work priorities for the continuous improvement of H&S processes and policies.
• Advise, guide, support, and coach personnel with the implementation of the company's policies and procedures.
• Work with Senior Managers to drive change in the business and implement tools and techniques for site safety.
• Assure best practice and work on short- and long-term projects.

Skills and Qualifications

• NEBOSH Diploma preferred (or equivalent)
• IOSH Certification
• ISO Accredited
• Experience within manufacturing
• Positive 'can do' attitude and drive to succeed
• Experience in the management of health, safety, and environmental systems
• Experience in a manufacturing environment
• Continuous Improvement experience (5S, Kaizen, 8D etc.)
