An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Health & Safety Manager to lead health, safety, and environmental compliance across a dynamic business. Reporting directly to the Managing Director, this role is key to driving a safety-first culture and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities of the new Health & Safety Manager
  • Ensure compliance with H&S legislation and internal standards.
  • Lead accident and near-miss reporting and investigations.
  • Maintain H&S records and reporting dashboards.
  • Deliver training and inductions for safe working practices.
  • Support environmental strategy and ISO 45001 planning.
  • Collaborate on site layout, TPM, and audit readiness.
Experience required for the role of Health & Safety Manager
  • IOSH certification (NEBOSH desirable).
  • 3 years experience in a similar role, ideally in manufacturing.
  • Strong communication, attention to detail, and audit experience.
  • Ability to deliver training and manage compliance systems.
Initial Focus Areas for the Health & Safety Manager
  • Establish H&S committee and update COSHH actions.
  • Review First Aiders/Fire Marshalls and training needs.
  • Audit site and present a 24-month improvement plan.
  • Support factory re-layout and revitalise TPM activities.
