Job summary

East Cheshire NHS Trust is seeking a Clinical Nurse Specialist in Gynae Oncology. The role is a part-time, permanent Band 7 post based in Macclesfield.

You will join a multidisciplinary team in delivering specialist cancer care from pre-diagnosis through treatment and follow-up, with opportunities for Masters-level study. The position requires an experienced RGN with strong leadership, teaching and clinical examination skills, and a commitment to developing staff and protocols within NHS

Qualifications

• RGN/RN/RSCN registration is required.
• Nursing degree is required.
• Evidence of Masters level education or working towards is expected.
• Teaching/mentoring qualification or working towards is desirable.
• Evidence of CPD is expected.
• Non medical prescriber status encouraged.
• Communication/counselling skills training is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Provide specialist nursing service for patients with suspected or confirmed gynae cancer.
• Support patients and families from diagnosis onwards.
• Develop and implement clinical protocols for the service.
• Coordinate care pathways and liaise across organisational boundaries.
