Job description

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Gynae-Oncology Cancer Nurse Specialist Team at UHD. The successful applicant will work alongside the current Gynae-oncology CNS Team based at Poole. There may be a need to work with the Gynae-oncology team on the Bournemouth site to help support the patient pathway across both our areas to work towards developing a UHD Gynae-Oncology Cancer CNS Service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver high‑quality, patient centred care to individuals with or at risk of gynaecological cancers.
  • Identify, support and manage patients and families affected by Lynch syndrome, ensuring timely risk assessment, surveillance, education and coordination of care across the cancer pathway.
  • Work closely with members of the Gynaecology Cancer Multidisciplinary Team, Primary and Tertiary Care.
  • Operate autonomously within the team.
Qualifications & Experience
  • Enthusiastic nurse keen to make a difference in caring for those experiencing a life‑changing diagnosis.
  • Previous experience in Gynae/Oncology desirable.
  • Highly organised, motivated to learn, with excellent communication and team working skills.
