Job description

Cambridge Regional College have an exciting opportunity for a Gym Supervisor to join our Student Services team at our Huntingdon Campus.

You will join us on a part time (22.5 hours), term time (40 weeks) basis and in return you will receive a competitive salary of between £13,925 - £15,009 per annum, equivalent to a full time, full year salary of £25,192 - £27,152 per annum, plus staff benefits.

About the role

The primary purpose of this job role is a day-to-day operation of the Gym and assessment and supervision of Gym users.

The primary duties, tasks and responsibilities of this job role are to;
  1. Supervision of the Gym.
  2. Sets up, dismantles and stores equipment
  3. Promotes sport to students and staff and local Community
  4. Maintain Health and Safety
  5. Professional development
  6. Actively support the college's values, policies and procedures, particularly responding to those relating to health and safety, safeguarding, equality and diversity, data protection and information sharing.
  7. Be familiar with and promote safeguarding requirements, as outlines in the safeguarding Children and Vulnerable Adults Policy and Procedure and ensure you undertake appropriate training provided by the college.
  8. Be prepared to undertake First Aid Training and be part of the staff team responding to first aid emergencies when required.
  9. Carry out such duties and responsibilities under Health and safety at Work (etc.) Act 1974 and associate legislation as described in the College's Health and Safety policy documents.
  10. Adhere to the Risk Management Policy and to notify your line manager of any identified risk.
  11. Maintain professional standards and relationships, including non-discriminatory practices, and to maintain a high level of confidentiality and discretion.
  12. Such other duties commensurate with the grade of the post as may be reasonably required at any of the college locations.
What we are looking for in our role
