Job summary

ANGLO in Guildford, United Kingdom seeks EFL Teachers to plan and deliver high-quality lessons for ANGLO teenage students. The role emphasises the communicative approach and involves working with the teaching team to deliver the ANGLO experience.

You will be responsible for lesson planning, marking work, maintaining attendance, and ensuring safeguarding and welfare policies are followed. DBS clearance is required; residential bed and board are provided for 72 hours per 14-night programme.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver high-quality, engaging lessons that meet the needs of ANGLO teenage students
• Work closely with colleagues in the teaching team to deliver the ANGLO experience
• Embrace the communicative approach to language teaching and create an engaging, inclusive learning environment in language lessons, excursion lessons and project lessons.
• Liaising with the Teaching Manager and/or WTS with regards to all relevant teaching and student matters
• Teaching levels and course types as directed by the TM/WTS, planning all classes sufficiently and marking students’ work
• Selecting appropriate supplementary materials demonstrating sensitivity to the students’ needs and cultural backgrounds
• Completing a weekly scheme of work
• Completing attendance registers accurately and reporting any absence or sickness tothe TM/ATM at the beginning of each lesson
• Being familiar with, and following guidelines outlined in the Teacher Manual
• Attending and participating in teacher briefings, meetings and CPD sessions when required
• Ensuring students are prepared for presentations, excursions, and cultural visits
• Responding to any issues, incidents and/or complaints in an appropriate and timely manner; ensuring that the Teaching Manager is informedas required
• Exploiting every opportunity for students to learn English both inside and outside the classroom
• Creating a positive learning environment which is well-organised and supports the introduction of British culture as part of the curriculum
• Providing students with adequate feedback on their work
• Accurately completing the students’ academic reports
• Following ANGLO’s safeguarding and welfare policies at all times
• Demonstrating a high level of professionalism at all times

Bed & Board:

Residential: Full bed andboard is provided

Hours:

72 hours per 14-nightstudent programme, plus one 6-hour paidinduction and two 1-hour CPD sessions on campus. No overtimepayment unless agreed in advance with Head Office.

On rare occasions wehave to offer 14-night 36 hour programmes, in which case hours andremuneration are halved. We will always let you know if this happens.
