Salary: 75,000 - 80,000 + 25% Annual Bonus Plus Excellent Benefits package
Responsibilities
- Lead technical strategy and Agile delivery for Guidewire PolicyCenter and Digital
- Mentor and influence engineering teams within a supportive, forward-thinking environment
- As a hands-on, forward-thinking Technical Engineering Lead within the Guidewire Centre of Excellence, drive excellence across Digital and PolicyCenter platforms. Shape best practice and mentor growing talent; play a critical part in the evolving Guidewire ecosystem with focus on React and front-end digital services.
- Take a senior leadership role across digital-facing Guidewire platforms, including CustomerEngage and PolicyCenter. Champion high standards in coding, architecture, quality, and performance; work across multiple Scrum teams as a floating subject matter expert. Provide hands-on support, drive consistency, and offer valuable oversight. Mentor engineers across all experience levels.
- Play a central role in upholding out-of-the-box Guidewire development principles. Contribute to scalable, sustainable delivery by ensuring Guidewire components are optimised for flexibility, reuse, and long-term efficiency.
Essential skills and experience
- Extensive development experience with Guidewire PolicyCenter, CustomerEngage and Jutro framework
- Strong Front End development background including React, html, CSS and JavaScript
- Strong technical leadership in an Agile software development environment
- Ability to influence technical direction and articulate complex ideas clearly to varied audiences
- Comfortable working across multiple Scrum teams as a technical mentor and quality gatekeeper
- Solid understanding of Guidewire principles and out-of-the-box functionality
Desirable
- Guidewire ACE certification or equivalent demonstrable experience
- Experience with SaaS-based Guidewire deployments
- Exposure to DevOps tools and CI/CD practices
- Experience with Nodejs
