Job summary

Holiday Inn Portsmouth is seeking Guest Service Assistants to welcome guests and support across reception, restaurant, bar, meetings and events. You’ll receive full training to work across all guest-facing areas and kick start your career in hospitality.

This role reports to the Guest Service Manager and involves building genuine guest relationships, maintaining presentation, and helping the hotel meet brand standards by delivering outstanding service every shift.

Qualifications

• Experience is welcome but not essential.
• Strong communication skills and the confidence to work as part of a team.
• A proactive approach with a can-do attitude.
• Comfortable using MS Office and similar tools.

Our Guest Service Assistants are at the heart of the guest experience, making sure every visitor feels welcome and cared for. You'll receive full training to work across all guest-facing areas of the hotel, from reception to food and beverage, making this the perfect opportunity to kick start your career in hospitality.

Other businesses may call this role Receptionist, Food & Beverage Assistant, Guest Experience Assistant, or Hotel Services Assistant.

This role reports directly to the Guest Service Manager.

What we're looking for

• A genuine passion for people and hospitality. Experience is great, but not essential.
• Strong communication skills and the confidence to work as part of a team.
• A proactive approach. (You notice what needs to be done and make it happen!)
• Comfortable using technology, including MS Office and similar tools.
