Job summary

Burnham Beeches Hotel in Buckinghamshire is seeking a Reception Manager to lead the front office and deliver a refined, personalised guest experience in a 4-star setting. You will oversee check-in/out, reservations, guest inquiries and coach the team to maintain 4-star service standards across the lobby and reception areas.

The role requires prior reception or front-office management experience in a similar hotel, strong leadership, and a professional, guest-first approach with excellent IT/PMS

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Reception Manager or front-office leader in a 4-star (or higher) hotel.
• Proven ability to manage a front desk team and guest relations.
• Flexible availability including weekends, evenings, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all front desk operations including check-in/out, reservations, and guest enquiries
• Lead, train, and motivate the reception team to deliver 4-star service standards
• Ensure a warm, professional, and efficient guest journey at all times
• Manage guest feedback, complaints, and VIP requests promptly and effectively
• Maintain strong communication with Housekeeping, Events, and F&B teams
• Monitor room availability, occupancy levels, and upselling opportunities
• Ensure presentation standards of reception and lobby areas are consistently high
• Control cash handling, billing accuracy, and daily financial reconciliation
• Support revenue targets through room upgrades and add-on sales
• Ensure compliance with brand standards, policies, and health & safety regulations
