Job summary

Handley James is seeking an Operations Manager for a North West SME Food Manufacturer to lead the operations team and support future growth. The role focuses on championing lean principles throughout the business and professionalising the manufacturing operation, covering Supply Chain, Production, Quality and Safety.

Reporting to the Managing Director, you will oversee end-to-end operations, drive OTIF, continuous improvement and day-to-day management, and develop the team with KPI/SOPs.

Qualifications

• Experience managing end-to-end Operations in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Experience in high-volume manufacturing with a varied product mix.
• Experience implementing continuous improvement and KPI/SOP development.
• Hands-on leadership style with collaborative approach.

Responsibilities

• Take responsibility for the full end to end Operations management.
• Be responsible for OTIF to customer, continuous improvement, efficiency improvements and the day to day operational management.
• Manage and develop the team by setting and sustaining KPIs and SOPs across the business.
• Implement and sustain a culture change programme with a practical CI focus.
• Empower, develop and coach people in order to create a high performing team.
• Place quality as paramount from a KPI point of view.
