Job description

Who we are

Mother Root is the Ginger Non-Alcoholic Aperitif made for your 6pm ritual. We harness the power of apple cider vinegar to serve up a dose of good feelings. Our mission is to redefine what it means to drink well and feel good, with drinks that are complex and delicious.

We're on an exciting growth journey, scaling from a £7m brand today towards £50m+ in the years ahead, with 230% year-on-year growth already underway. We're the UK's #1 selling non-alcoholic spirit (and backed by three offers on BBC Dragons' Den along the way), and late last year we launched across the pond where we are picking up momentum.

With our small but mighty team, we're building one of the fastest-growing non-alcoholic brands on both sides of the Atlantic, online and in retail. We were recently ranked #3 on 2026's FEBE Growth 100 list of fastest-growing UK businesses and #11 on 2026's Sunday Times 100 list of fastest-growing UK businesses.

We're bold, inclusive and ambitious. We value creativity, curiosity and collaboration, and we believe work should be joyful, purposeful and full of flavour.

The Role

Reporting to the Growth Marketing Lead, you'll be the pair of hands that makes our growth engine run faster. Paid social, email, the website, our reporting: you'll be in all of it, every week, across the UK and the US. You'll get the ads live, the numbers pulled and the experiments shipped, then tell us what actually happened.

It's broad by design, but broad doesn't mean scattered. We go deep on what's working rather than spreading ourselves thin across every channel because everyone else is on it, so you'll spend your time where the numbers say it counts.

What You’ll Do
  • Get paid social campaigns live to brief, from ad set-up and naming conventions through to checking they're running as they should and flagging anything that looks off.
  • Build landing pages and update the site for product launches, campaigns and offers, working to brief with our product designer.
  • Pull, sanity-check and circulate the growth numbers to the agreed schedule, so the team can make decisions on Monday rather than Thursday.
  • Turn our data into reporting people actually read, using Shopify, GA4, Klaviyo and our warehouse reporting.
  • Build and schedule email campaigns in Klaviyo against the plan, including segmentation and list hygiene, then report back on how each one did.
  • Keep the email calendar up to date against what growth, brand and content have coming up, and raise clashes early rather than the week of.
  • Keep the site tidy: upload products and blogs, sort out content naming and run the regular website and Amazon audit to catch what's broken and spot what could be better.
  • Support Amazon growth, from listing quality to promotional activity.
  • Keep our Shopify apps healthy: reviews, upsells, referrals and the rest of the stack.
  • Help run creator seeding with our chosen platform, from campaign set-up through to optimisation.
  • Keep the UGC workflow moving: gather content as it comes in, file and label it properly and get it to the people who need it for ads, email and site.
  • Log every experiment properly so that in six months we know what we tried, what won and why.
  • Gather customer insight and get it in front of the right people. Write up survey responses after launches and campaigns, sit in on customer calls and share what stood out.
What Success Looks Like
  • Our testing cadence has gone up, not because we hired an agency, but because you're shipping.
  • Growth reporting is quick, trusted and boring, in the best sense. Nobody argues about the numbers any more.
  • Campaigns and flows go out on time, on brand and properly segmented, and we can see what each one earned.
  • Site experiments have a documented track record, with clear scale or stop calls rather than a graveyard of half-finished tests.
  • You've found something in the data that nobody was looking for, and it changed what we did next.
  • You've grown into deeper ownership of a channel, because you earned it.
What You’ll Bring
  • Circa 1-2 years in growth, performance marketing or e-commerce, ideally within DTC or a consumer brand.
  • Hands-on experience in at least one marketing channel and enough curiosity to get good at the others.
  • Comfort with spreadsheets and dashboards. You can interrogate a number, not just report it.
  • A knack for picking up new tech platforms quickly. You'd rather get into the back end and work out how it hangs together than wait for someone to walk you through it.
  • Clear written communication. You can explain what happened in a test to someone who wasn't in the room.
  • Organised enough to run several things at once without dropping any of them.
  • An appetite for using AI across every part of the role - from analysis and reporting to first drafts and briefs so you get quality work done faster.
Bonus points if you
  • Have worked across both UK and US markets and know the differences between the two
  • Have an interest in drinks or non-alc category
You’ll Thrive Here If You
  • Would rather ship something today and improve it tomorrow than perfect it for a fortnight
  • Are naturally curious and want to understand how the whole puzzle fits together
  • Chase the answer down yourself instead of waiting to be handed it
  • Get a genuine kick out of a test that works, and a bigger one out of understanding why
  • Are happy in the detail, because in a team this size the detail is the job
  • Want to build something rather than simply work somewhere
