Job summary

Co-operators is seeking an Insurance Sales Advisor to support and develop the agency operation through proactive sales and service of our insurance and financial products. You will build a strong client base by prospecting and advising on auto, home, farm, commercial, and life coverages, while aiming to meet personal and team sales goals.

You’ll join a small office with real opportunities for advancement and an emphasis on customer relationships, risk assessment, and ongoing product knowledge

Qualifications

• General Insurance License required or obtained within 2 months.
• Meet provincial licensing requirements for licenses.
• Post secondary education in Business Administration or related discipline.
• Minimum 2 years sales experience or related business experience.
• Minimum 2 years insurance industry experience preferred.
• Bilingual English and French is an asset.
• Own your own vehicle and willingness to travel to Chelmsford and Val Caron offices.

Responsibilities

• Conduct inbound and outbound calls to prospect and build a sales pipeline.
• Achieve individual goals for client service, sales, quality and productivity.
• Identify and recommend additional products/services for client needs.
• Complete frontline risk assessment following underwriting guidelines.
• Proactively complete client reviews on auto, home, farm and/or commercial portfolios.
• Review client goals, provide risk management advice and document changes.
• Support programs to build multi-client relationships.
• Respond to client questions, resolve complaints, and escalate as needed.
