Growing Manager - Salary DOE + Accommodation

About the Role

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced and passionate Growing Manager to join a leading soft fruit and horticultural business based in Fife. You will be responsible for managing all aspects of crop production, ensuring high-quality yields, and leading a dedicated team across a modern, progressive growing operation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee all stages of crop production, from planting to harvest.
  • Manage irrigation, nutrition, pest and disease control, and crop protection programmes.
  • Monitor crop health and performance, implementing timely interventions to optimise yield and quality.
  • Lead and develop the growing team, ensuring best practice and compliance with company standards.
  • Plan and execute growing schedules in line with market and supply requirements.
  • Maintain detailed records and reports to support continuous improvement.
  • Work closely with senior management to develop long-term production strategies.

Qualifications & Experience
  • Degree or equivalent qualification in Horticulture, Agriculture, Plant Science, or a related discipline (preferred).
  • BASIS and/or FACTS certification (advantageous).
  • Proven track record in soft fruit or protected crop production.
  • Strong understanding of plant physiology, nutrition, irrigation, and integrated pest management (IPM).
  • Experience managing staff and coordinating seasonal teams.
  • Confident using crop management software and data-driven decision-making.
  • Full UK driving licence
