An environmental organization in Bristol seeks an enthusiastic individual for the Grow Wilder Site Manager role. You will manage a nature-rich community hub, developing partnerships, and engaging visitors to take action for wildlife. Grow Wilder is Avon Wildlife Trusts unique, nature-rich community hub and learning centre for Bristol. A six acre site, including a wildflower nursery and pop‑up café, where the Trust works in partnership with organisations and community groups to give people of all ages and backgrounds opportunities to connect with nature. Together we engage a diverse audience through food growing and nature activities in a safe and inspiring place, which delivers positive social impact.
We are seeking an enthusiastic and innovative individual to manage and develop the site at Grow Wilder in line with the site strategy and Avon Wildlife Trusts overarching strategy. Maximising the sites potential to inspire and engage visitors, volunteers, the broader community, and land partners to take action for wildlife through wildlife‑friendly habitat creation and food growing.
You will be responsible for managing, developing and maintaining use of Grow Wilder’s site, for wildlife-friendly habitat creation, propagation and sale of wildflowers, and food growing, for the benefit of nature and overall biodiversity.
Passion for nature, habitats and the environment with a good understanding of site, people and landscapes.
Part time, 30 hours per week (4 or 5 days out of 7). Permanent position.
