Job summary

MorePeople is seeking a Technical Coordinator to join a busy multi-site fresh produce business, supporting the Head of Quality & Compliance across food safety, quality, legality, sustainability and technical compliance. The role involves coordinating sampling, audits and data reporting across field, packhouse and coldstore environments.

You will maintain technical documentation, assist with risk assessments and support audits like BRCGS and Red Tractor.

Qualifications

• HACCP and Food Hygiene knowledge.
• Strong Excel and IT skills.

Responsibilities

• Keep things compliant - maintain technical documentation, procedures, records and customer portals so everything is accurate, current and audit-ready.
• Support field & packhouse teams - help with risk assessments, product specifications, quality standards and technical requirements.
• Coordinate sampling - manage product, water and soil sampling programmes from preparation through to results and follow-up.
• Get involved in audits - support internal audits and prepare for BRCGS, Red Tractor, LEAF Marque and customer audits.
• Investigate & improve - support complaint, non-conformance and quality investigations, helping identify root causes and corrective actions.
• Keep traceability sharp - coordinate traceability and mock recall exercises and make sure actions are followed through.
• Make data useful - collate and analyse quality and compliance information, identify trends and produce meaningful reports and KPIs.
• Work with people - liaise with customers, suppliers and auditors and colleagues across the business.
• Support sustainability & ethical compliance - coordinate information around water, waste, energy, crop protection, biodiversity and greenhouse gas reporting, alongside SEDEX activity.
• Support product development - assist with packaging validation and shelf-life activities.

Technical Coordinator

Ready to get technical?

We're looking for a Technical Coordinator to join a busy multi-site fresh produce business, supporting the Head of Quality & Compliance across food safety, quality, legality, sustainability and technical compliance.

This is a role with plenty of variety. One day you could be coordinating sampling and reviewing results, the next preparing for an audit, investigating a non-conformance or pulling together data for a customer. You'll be right in the middle of the technical operation, working across field, packhouse and coldstore environments.

What will you be doing?

Who are we looking for?

You don't need to know everything on day one.

We're looking for someone who is organised, curious, accurate and proactive, with experience in a technical, quality, compliance or coordination role within fresh produce, food manufacturing, agriculture or a related environment.

You'll ideally have:

• Experience managing technical documentation, records or databases
• A good understanding of food safety and quality
• HACCP and Food Hygiene knowledge
• Strong Excel and IT skills
• The confidence to communicate with customers, suppliers and auditors
• An eye for detail and the ability to juggle multiple priorities
• An interest in data, compliance and continuous improvement
• Experience of BRCGS, Red Tractor, LEAF Marque, auditing or ethical compliance would be a bonus
• A full UK driving licence, as you'll travel between sites
