Job summary

Brewer Morris is seeking a Group Tax Specialist to join a multinational organisation. You will oversee UK and European tax compliance, including corporation tax, VAT, tax accounting, and business partnering, with a focus on delivering strategic tax support across multiple jurisdictions.

You will work with finance, management and commercial teams to drive compliant and commercially aware tax solutions, supporting audits and HMRC enquiries.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years' experience in UK tax, in-house or practice.
• Experience with corporation tax compliance and tax accounting.
• Experience with VAT compliance.
• Strong Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs).
• Excellent organisational and project management abilities.
• Strong written and verbal communication with stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Manage UK corporation tax and VAT compliance, ensuring timely submissions.
• Support tax accounting, year-end reporting, and external audit processes.
• Coordinate UK tax group obligations, including SAO and Group Relief."
• Partner with finance and commercial teams on tax matters and ad hoc projects.
• Support HMRC enquiries, risk reviews, and tax audits.
• Coordinate European tax compliance activities and VAT across jurisdictions.
• Monitor legislative changes and communicate developments to stakeholders.
