Group Tax Manager, 12 month FTC
Full time or part-time
Southampton, 1-2 office days per week

An established financial services business is recruiting for an experienced Group Tax Manager, to join a small tax team managing tax compliance and reporting activities for the UK Group. The Group Tax Manager will be responsible for onboarding new acquisitions and managing a range of both internal and external stakeholder relationships. This is initially intended as a 12 month FTC, with potential prospects for extension or permanent employment thereafter.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Management of the tax affairs of the UK businesses, including providing input into wider group activities.
  • Management of the of corporation and indirect tax returns to HMRC.
  • Ensure that tax disclosures within the year-end accounts are calculated in accordance with relevant legislation and accounting standards.
  • Assist Payroll and HR with employment tax matters as required.
  • Be a primary point of contact with HMRC, building relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Manage external relationships with professional tax advisors, external auditors, and other third parties in relation to taxation matters.
The successful candidate
  • ACA/CTA
  • UK corporation tax and tax reporting experience
  • Broader tax experience/working familiarity helpful
  • Prior experience working in the financial services sector
