Job summary

Matchtech is assisting a client in the Southampton area to recruit an experienced Tax Manager to lead group tax reporting and compliance for a multi-entity international business.

This hands-on role combines technical tax expertise with governance, process improvement and proactive tax planning across UK, US and international entities.

Qualifications

• Strong experience in corporate tax and tax accounting.
• Proven background in group tax reporting within an international environment.
• Knowledge of UK tax legislation; US tax exposure would be advantageous.
• Strong Excel and finance systems experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead group tax reporting, including current and deferred tax calculations and annual disclosures.
• Manage year-end tax reporting across UK, US, and international entities.
• Oversee corporation tax compliance and review tax returns with external advisers.
• Coordinate US and international tax compliance activities.
• Manage transfer pricing documentation and policies.
• Monitor VAT, sales tax, and other indirect tax obligations.
• Act as the key contact for auditors and tax advisers.
• Maintain and improve tax controls, processes, and governance.
• Support R&D tax claims and wider finance projects.

About the Role
