A charity organization in London seeks a Group Support Volunteer to assist individuals affected by dementia in social activities. This role involves welcoming participants, ensuring comfort, and providing refreshments during group sessions. Ideal candidates should possess good communication skills and empathy. Training about dementia will be provided. Flexible hours, and a rewarding opportunity to make a difference in the community.

As a Group Support Volunteer, you'll support and encourage people affected by dementia to engage in activities and socialise with others in a group setting. A friendly face at the group, you'll welcome and talk to people affected by dementia to help them feel comfortable and make sure they're offered refreshments. You'll also help set up and tidy away at the end of the group.
Your involvement in this role will ensure people affected by dementia are able to meet others in a similar situation, access the support and information they need and enjoy meaningful activities.
Wednesday 10 - 12pm
Forget Me Nots group - an activity group arts & craft, reminiscing through artefacts, role-play, gardening amongst other things.
Memory Merton Hub, 67 Whitford Gardens, Mitcham CR4 4AB
meet and greet service users, offering drinks and snacks, helping and encouraging the service users to do the activity, ready to chat and be a friendly face.
