A leading UK charity supporting individuals with dementia is seeking a Group Support Volunteer in Camberley. In this role, you will help people affected by dementia engage in activities and socialise in a friendly group setting. Ideal candidates will have strong communication skills and be compassionate towards others. The organization aims to provide vital support and transform lives today.

As a Group Support Volunteer, you’ll support and encourage people affected by dementia to engage in activities and socialise with others in a group setting. A friendly face at the group, you’ll welcome and talk to people affected by dementia to help them feel comfortable and make sure they’re offered refreshments. You’ll also help set up and tidy away at the end of the group.
Your involvement in this role will ensure people affected by dementia are able to meet others in a similar situation, access the support and information they need and enjoy meaningful activities.
Wednesday 10 - 12pm
Forget Me Nots group - an activity group arts & craft, reminiscing through artefacts, role‑play, gardening amongst other things.
Memory Merton Hub, 67 Whitford Gardens, Mitcham CR4 4AB
meet and greet service users, offering drinks and snacks, helping and encouraging the service users to do the activity, ready to chat and be a friendly face.
