Job summary

A dedicated charity for dementia support is seeking a Group Support Volunteer in Brentford to assist individuals affected by dementia in a friendly group environment. This role involves helping with activities, ensuring comfort, and facilitating social interaction. Ideal candidates should have good communication and listening skills, as well as a willingness to learn and demonstrate empathy. Flexible volunteering on the third Wednesday of each month.

About The Role

If you love meeting new people and want to support people affected by dementia in your area, then we may have just the volunteer role for you!

As a Group Support Volunteer, you’ll support and encourage people affected by dementia to engage in activities and socialise with others in a group setting. A friendly face at the group, you’ll welcome and talk to people affected by dementia to help them feel comfortable and make sure they’re offered refreshments. You’ll also help set up and tidy away at the end of the group.

Your involvement in this role will ensure people affected by dementia are able to meet others in a similar situation, access the support and information they need and enjoy meaningful activities.

Danehurst Centre, Brent Lea, Brentford TW8 8HX

Community Based Role.

Looking for a bubbly, social and interactive person who is willing to get stuck in with board games and activities and a helping hand with tea and coffee.

Third Wednesday of every month. 1:30pm-3:30pm.
