Qualifications

  • Knowledge of ISO standards 14001, 45001, 9001, 45003 and 55001 advantageous.

Salary: £42,600 - £64,000 +performance-related bonus + a range of benefits to support your finances, wellbeing and family.

The role

The SHE Assurance Auditor role is a key part of the SSE Group SHEteamand as such requires the role holder to be experienced across all areas of Safety, Health & Environment auditing as lead auditor at both internal and third-party level.

Reporting to the SHE Assurance Manager the SHE Assurance Auditoris responsible forthe delivery of assurance activities across SSE and Supply Chain, aligned to SSE Group SHE assurance plan.

This position requires the person to fully contribute to an inclusive, effective, and safe working environment, through taking personal responsibility for their decisions and behaviours.

You will
  • Leadinternal and external audits aligned to the SHEauditplan, ensuring all elements of the audit planning, delivery and reporting are delivered to a consistently high, and professional standard.
  • Ensuretimelycompletion and distribution ofaccurateaudit reports, aligned to the audit plan andaccuraterecord keeping of all audit evidence, including evidence of corrective actions and action closure.
  • Support the data capture and analysis across Level 3 and Level 2 audit findings, proactively influencing plans, aligned to key risks and trend areas.
  • As an audit subject matter expert, develop and deliver in-house training to stakeholders asrequired.
  • Ensure as part of performing the role, the SHE Assurance Team is trusted to deliver across SSE, building strong collaborative relationships with Business Units Assurance teams, Group Services Assurance functions and external bodies.
You have
  • Extensive knowledge and experience in SHEauditdelivery in the energy sector or a high hazard industry e.g. construction, offshore, manufacturing, petrochemical/pharmaceutical industry
  • Demonstrable experience of delivering SHE Audits across large organisations.
  • Strong working knowledge of ISO standards 14001, 45001also,Knowledge and awareness of ISO standards 9001, 45003 and 55001advantageous
  • Recognised SHE Qualification in Health and Safety Management e.g., NEBOSH Diploma/Degree with continuing professional development orappropriate provenknowledge and experience.
  • Experience drafting clear, fact-based audit and assurance reports and supporting documentation.
