Salary: c.£85,000 - £90,000 basic + executive benefits + car

The opportunity

Our client, a leading manufacturer of high-volume precision-machined components is seeking an exceptional Group Sales Director to drive international growth through distribution channels, expand global market share and maximise commercial performance. This is a senior leadership position within a multi-site organisation with ambitious growth plans and a strong existing platform.

As a key member of the Senior Management Team, you will shape commercial and sales strategy and play a pivotal role in delivering profitable, scalable growth.

Key responsibilities
  • Develop and implement a commercial strategy to deliver sustained revenue and profitability growth.
  • Rapidly accelerate international sales through global distribution.
  • Lead, manage and coach the sales team, driving high performance and a customer-focused culture.
  • Produce detailed sales plans, budgets and forecasts for board review.
  • Identify and secure new business opportunities, leading high-level negotiations.
  • Utilise market insights, competitive intelligence and CRM tools to guide decision-making.
  • Manage key customer relationships and enhance strategic partnerships.
  • Oversee commercial reporting, marketing activity and tender/bid management processes.
  • Coordinate multi-site commercial activity, ensuring a unified and strategic approach.

  • Background in the machined components industry within a manufacturing environment is essential.
  • Successful track record managing international distributors and securing major contracts.
