Job summary

Beighton is recruiting a part-time group leader for Malon Way children’s home in Sheffield to support day-to-day operations and ensure compliance with standards. The role requires a Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare or relevant experience and a minimum of two years in direct care of children and young people.

You will supervise staff, lead on decisions, and work a rota with evenings, weekends, and bank holidays on a 2-shift pattern. Training and safeguarding support are provided.

Qualifications

• Hold a level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare or relevant experience.
• Minimum 2 years’ work experience in direct care of children and young people.
• Ability to lead, make decisions and support the Homes’ manager and team.

Responsibilities

• Supervise assistant residential and residential child-care practitioners and ancillary workers.
• Support the day-to-day operation of Malon Way children's home.
• Ensure compliance with Children’s Homes Regulations and Quality standards.
• Use safeguarding knowledge to create a safe, warm environment for the young people.
