Group Head of Sales

  • Full Time – Permanent Contract
  • £70,000‑£75,000 per annum, plus an uncapped commission scheme
  • Base at Mad Swans in the Mendips (Bristol) – flexible within the South of the UK
  • Regular travel to existing and new sites

Mad Swans is looking for a proactive, positive and energetic Group Head of Sales to lead commercial efforts for our new hospitality brand centred on sport, hospitality and sustainability. You will develop go‑to‑sales strategies, build brand awareness, drive revenue and scale our presence across key markets while managing a lean commercial team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Responsible for overall budgeted and planned sales revenue
  • Lead and oversee a small sales team
  • Active revenue generation and execution of sales initiatives
  • Convert individual and group enquiries into bookings with high conversion efficiency
  • Work closely with Marketing, Head of Topflight, Gym & Racquets Manager and operational teams to align goals
  • Build and lead sales teams across multiple properties
  • Drive B2B and B2C sales across corporate, group and leisure segments
  • Set up systems and processes for sales, events and reservations
  • Establish key partnerships and secure early wins to build momentum
  • Design, implement and maintain sales and events process standards across all sites
  • Identify and target new business opportunities for weddings, corporate retreats and local partnerships
  • Conduct site visits and client show‑rounds to promote venue offerings
  • Maintain a sales database and track leads, inquiries, conversions, and pipeline activity
  • Represent the hotel at wedding fairs, trade shows and networking events
  • Collaborate with marketing to develop promotional materials and campaigns
Who we’re looking for

Location & Travel

Base: Mad Swans, Mendips (Bristol) – there is flexibility within the South of the UK. The role requires regular travel to all existing and future sites; a personal vehicle is necessary and occasional overnight stays may be required.

Working Hours & Days

Core office hours with occasional evenings and weekend work. Predominantly Monday to Friday.
