The Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) team is a core part of the Group Finance team, based in London.
We focus on articulating and analysing the Group’s business performance and future forecasts to the GFG Management and Supervisory Boards.
We work closely with the FP&A teams based in Latin America, South East Asia and Australia, alongside the wider Group Finance, Tax and Treasury functions in London, Luxembourg and Germany. As the Group matures, the Group FP&A function becomes ever more important in providing insight and analysis to support our fast growing business.
As a result, we are looking for a Group FP&A Analyst to join the Group Finance team based in London on a fixed-term contract basis.
This role will report to the FP&A Reporting Manager.
You will be working closely with the regional FP&A Teams, Group Reporting Team, Group CFO & Management Board.
SCOPE OF ROLE Detailed P&L, Cash Flow and Balance Sheet analysis, identifying business trends, risks and opportunities Provide analysis to support decision-making, including presenting economic outcomes and identifying the key value drivers, benefits, sensitivities and risks, accounting and cash implications.
Preparing the Group’s monthly and quarterly business review packs, for both the Management Board and the Supervisory Board.
This includes, but is not limited to, the analysis of financial results, non-financial KPIs and explanation of variances versus budget, forecast and last year.
This involves liaising with the regional FP&A teams to understand local business performance in order to provide detailed insight at a Group level Provide critique and challenge to regional data - from both a financial and operational perspective Build strong relationships with regional teams to open up communication and trust, and share best practice.
Process improvement projects, driving the development of OneStream functionality for FP&A, working closely with the Senior Finance Systems Analyst for technical support Support in the preparation of external results announcements and presentations, working closely with the Financial Reporting team and Investor Relations. Play an active role in the development of the Finance strategy, working on key Finance projects and systems developments in our reporting tool OneStream. Ad hoc scenario/what if modelling WHAT WILL YOU BRING TO THE TEAM Qualified accountant with a record of success within a fast moving, forward thinking, multi-currency, listed company A low-ego intellect who can quickly get to the heart of an issue and is comfortable communicating it clearly to peers and to senior management Highly Analytical, able to draw conclusions from large data volumes at pace Attention to detail; some of the outputs are shared externally so accuracy is key Excellent communication, both written and verbal, to cut through complex issues Strong Excel skills with experience of a Global EPM tool (Onestream highly desirable) Flexible attitude and ability to cope well with the demands of a rapidly evolving company and varied workload A strong focus on delivery and the ability to own and implement the outcomes High level of initiative and self-motivation Ability to quickly build strong working relationships with regionally based teams.
