Group Financial Reporting Accountant

Location: London Type: Permanent Salary: £55,000 – £65,000 + Bonus + Benefits

Are you a technically strong ACA or ACCA qualified accountant looking to step into a high-profile Group Financial Reporting role? Whether you're making your first move from audit or already in industry and ready for your next challenge, this is a fantastic opportunity to join a prestigious, globally recognised group.

Reporting to the Financial Reporting Manager, you’ll play a key role in the Group’s external financial reporting cycle, including the Annual Report and Accounts process. You’ll also support the production of financial statements for around 10 non-operational subsidiaries and contribute to internal monthly P&L reporting, including budgeting and variance analysis.

This is a varied and visible role, offering exposure to senior stakeholders across the Group and the chance to develop your IFRS expertise in a collaborative, high-performing team.

Key Responsibilities
Monthly Reporting
  • Deliver timely and accurate monthly P&L reporting
  • Provide insightful variance analysis against budget
  • Support ad-hoc reporting (e.g. ONS submissions)
Annual Reporting
  • Coordinate the external audit process, ensuring deadlines are met
  • Assist in preparing IFRS-compliant financial disclosures for the Group
  • Oversee Group consolidation (single and multi-currency)
  • Prepare subsidiary financial statements under IFRS/FRS101
  • Support group budgeting and liaise with operating companies
Ad Hoc
  • Provide technical accounting support and resolve IFRS issues
  • Contribute to special projects and process improvements
About You
  • ACA or ACCA qualified with strong IFRS knowledge
  • Either from a Big 4/top-tier audit background or already in a group reporting role
  • Detail-oriented, organised, and deadline-driven
  • Confident communicator with a professional and diplomatic approach
  • Strong Excel and Word skills essential
