Description
Strategic & Financial Planning
- Develop and implement the business plan, including strategic objectives, budgets, and financial forecasts.
- Take full ownership of budgets and monthly forecasts, ensuring accuracy, transparency, and effective management of financial performance.
- Identify, assess, and manage key assumptions, risks, and opportunities affecting business and project performance.
Financial Management & Reporting
- Oversee all month‑end close processes and ensure timely, accurate, and insightful management reporting.
- Prepare monthly management accounts and financial performance reports for internal and external stakeholders.
- Manage cash flow, ensuring liquidity and financial stability of the business.
- Lead forecasting and budgeting processes through effective collaboration with the finance team.
Governance, Audit & Compliance
- Manage the relationship and process with external auditors, ensuring timely completion of statutory audits.
- Oversee tax, audit, risk and compliance activities.
- Maintain strong internal controls and efficient financial processes across the organisation.
Team Leadership & Stakeholder Management
- Lead, develop, and manage the finance team to ensure high performance, accuracy, and efficiency.
- Build and maintain effective relationships with banks, auditors, and other external stakeholders.
- Provide financial insights and support to senior leadership and operational teams to drive informed strategic decision‑making.
Profile
- A professional accounting qualification (e.g., ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent).
- Proven expertise in financial management within the engineering or manufacturing sector.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop a team.
- Excellent analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
- Proficiency in financial systems and software.
- Exceptional attention to detail and organisational skills.
- Ability to communicate financial information clearly to stakeholders.
Job Offer
- Competitive salary ranging from £67,000 to £76,000 per annum.
- 10% performance‑based bonus.
