Job Description:
  • Completion of group reporting processes under IFRS: Maintain accurate and complete consolidated books of account to defined standards and in accordance with the group’s Accounting policies, structured to enable optimal performance reporting.
  • Ensure adherence to all investor and group financial reporting deadlines across the group.
  • Ensure adherence to policies and procedures.
  • Support with the preparation of the UK’s consolidated statutory reporting requirements and audit procedures.
  • Oversight of accounting standards and implementation: Support wider finance members in IFRS 16 and capitalisation.
  • Ensuring all off-book adjustments get reflected in-ledger
  • Draft documentation to support key processes, judgements and policies
  • Provide support to the Group Financial Controller
  • Ad-hoc projects as required.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you should have a combination of the below knowledge, skills, and experience:

  • Qualified Accountant with strong financial acumen – ACA or ACCA preferred
  • Background in Audit at Top 10 firm
  • Strong working knowledge of IFRS
  • A high level of motivation, with the energy and drive to “make things happen” and grow
  • Ability to solve problems with some guidance or supervision
  • Exhibit high levels of innovation and aptitude to continuously improve processes and deal with ambiguity and identify solutions to resolve this
  • Strive to do the right thing: defend principles and policies
  • Pride in providing high quality, accurate and timely information, with a close attention to detail and always looking to improve the clarity and value of outputs
  • Inquisitive, curious and challenges the status quo, always looking for ways to improve things
  • Accomplished verbal and written communication skills
  • Background knowledge in project accounting, capitalisation and revenue recognition under IFRS strongly preferred
