A leading real estate consultancy is looking for a Group Financial Accountant to join their finance team in Peterborough. This role involves producing statutory consolidated accounts, managing audits, and ensuring balance sheet accuracy. We have an exciting opportunity for a Group Financial Accountant to join our Finance team based in Peterborough. This is a fantastic role for an ACA/ACCA qualified Accountant to play a key role within our team, producing statutory consolidated accounts, preparing audit schedules, and ensuring timely and budget‑friendly audits. You'll also support financial system development, manage balance sheet accuracy, and liaise with external advisors.
The Group Financial Accountant will join a fast‑paced and busy finance team, based in Peterborough, on a hybrid basis. We are seeking someone who is ACA or ACCA qualified, or qualified by experience, with excellent up‑to‑date knowledge of Accounting and Auditing standards. You will have prior experience in preparing statutory accounts and running audits for medium‑sized companies, ideally including LLPs. Working knowledge of corporation tax computations for medium‑sized companies and VAT is also required.
It is crucial to have excellent attention to detail and accuracy, to be enthusiastic and pro‑active with strong numerical and written analytical skills. Excellent communication and strong interpersonal skills, a team‑worker with strong problem‑solving ability, are essential. Fully computer‑literate with a thorough understanding of MS Office programmes, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
