Job summary

Otto James Consulting is assisting a well established international retailer to hire a Group Finance Manager. The role demands a practice-trained, ambitious accountant who can drive continuous improvement of reporting systems and support key transformation projects.

You will own the group monthly and annual consolidation, partner with cross-functional teams, and provide management with timely insights. Hybrid working with UK-based operations is offered.

Qualifications

• Qualified ACA/ACCA/CIMA with strong consolidation experience.
• Proven analytical skills and advanced Excel proficiency.
• Experience driving process improvements in reporting.

Responsibilities

• Own key parts of monthly and annual group consolidation processes.
• Develop knowledge of the Group's consolidation system.
• Collaborate with Group Tax, Treasury and FPA in the Centre of Excellence.
• Provide senior management with insights from monthly changes.
• Oversee statutory IFRS reporting and UK subsidiary compliance.
• Prepare month-end financial reports and present to Directors.
• Produce daily, weekly and monthly flash reports for management.
• Partner with the Finance Director to drive growth and profitability.
• Coordinate cost-saving initiatives and productivity improvements.
• Implement best practices for FP&A, month-end close, and processes.
• Maintain robust internal controls and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Drive working capital initiatives and monitor cash flow.
