About Our Client

My client is a leading figure in Central London's professional education sector and has been established for over 60 years. As a small-sized UK team, they maintain a robust presence in London and are committed to delivering impactful programmes in their sector. Currently outsourcing some transactional finance processes to India, they are looking for a Group Finance Manager to keep things tied over in the UK, working closely with Senior Management, and ensure that the company runs smoothly and efficiently, with scope to implement a new ERP system in the future to support that.

Job Description
  • Prepare and oversee consolidated financial statements and reports.
  • Ensure compliance with financial regulations and internal policies.
  • Manage the budgeting and forecasting processes across the organisation.
  • Oversee payroll operations and maintain accurate financial records.
  • Utilise Xero to streamline accounting processes and ensure data accuracy.
  • Collaborate with department heads to monitor expenditure and allocate resources effectively.
  • Lead and mentor the finance team to achieve departmental objectives.
  • Act as a key contact for external auditors and stakeholders.
The Successful Applicant

A successful Group Finance Manager should have:

  • A professional qualification in accounting or finance (e.g., ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent).
  • Minimum 3-5 years industry experience in a similar role.
  • The ability to work remotely, and be able to come into the office in Kensington when required.
  • Experience in financial reporting and budgeting.
  • Proficiency in Xero and other accounting software.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • A detail-oriented approach with the ability to meet deadlines consistently.
  • Excellent communication skills to liaise with stakeholders effectively.
