  • Ample stakeholder management and influencing skills, with the confidence to engage, challenge and build relationships across business and technology teams.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain data governance frameworks aligned with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
  • Monitor data quality metrics and compliance across the organisation.
  • Identify data and records management risks and gaps and address them.
  • Develop and implement a records management programme for proper identification, storage, retention, retrieval and disposal.
  • Develop and implement a data governance strategy aligned with bank objectives.
  • Provide group-wide guidance and training on Data and Records Management requirements.

Job description

Join Barclays as a Group Data Management Strategy & Transformation Senior Analyst, where you will help shape and deliver the Data Management strategy, platform roadmap and wider transformation agenda. You will work closely with senior stakeholders across business, technology, risk and change teams, using data-driven insights to support strategic decision-making, solve complex business challenges and deliver meaningful outcomes.

We’re looking for a highly analytical and commercially minded individual who can combine strategic thinking with practical delivery. You’ll be confident working with complex data, navigating ambiguity, managing stakeholders and translating insight into clear actions that support business priorities.

To be successful as a Group Data Management Strategy & Transformation Senior Analyst, you must have the following essential skills:

  • Experience in Business Analytics, Data Analytics, Strategy & Transformation, Change Management.
  • Advanced analytical and critical thinking skills, including the ability to interpret complex data and translate insights into practical business outcomes.
  • A proven track record of delivering strategic initiatives and driving change across large, complex organisations.
  • Ample stakeholder management and influencing skills, with the confidence to engage, challenge and build relationships across business and technology teams.
Some Other Highly Valued Skills May Include
  • Experience working with data management platforms, data governance or data strategy.
  • Exposure to financial services, risk, controls or regulatory environments.

This role has the option to work from either Glasgow or Knutsford.

Purpose of the role

To develop, implement, and maintain effective governance frameworks for all data and records across the bank's global operations.

Accountabilities
  • Development and maintenance of a comprehensive data and records governance framework aligned with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
  • Monitoring data quality and records metrics and compliance with standards across the organization.
  • Identification and addressing of data and records management risks and gaps.
  • Development and implementation of a records management programme that ensures the proper identification, classification, storage, retention, retrieval and disposal of records.
  • Development and implementation of a data governance strategy that aligns with the bank's overall data management strategy and business objectives.
  • Provision of Group wide guidance and training on Data and Records Management standard requirements.

  • Engage in complex analysis of data from multiple sources of information, internal and external sources such as procedures and practises (in other areas, teams, companies, etc).to solve problems creatively and effectively.
