Job summary

Platinum Recruitment Consultancy is seeking a Group Chef Manager in Plymouth to lead catering, food service and hospitality across multiple sites. This Monday to Friday role offers daytime hours and a clear work/life balance.

You will manage budgets, build strong client relationships, recruit and develop managers and chefs, oversee events, and drive continuous improvements while ensuring food safety and company standards. Salary is £40,000 with pension, life assurance and generous annual leave.

• Build strong client relationships, supporting customer satisfaction and contract retention.
• Manage budgets, P&L performance, food and labour costs, and financial reporting.
• Recruit, coach and develop managers, chefs, supervisors and frontline teams.
• Oversee catering events, conferences, hospitality functions and special events.
• Drive continuous improvement across service quality and operational efficiency.
• Ensure compliance with food safety, health & safety and company standards.
• Manage suppliers, procurement, stock control and key performance indicators.

Key Responsibilities

What we're looking for

• We're looking for an experienced catering professional who is confident managing multiple operations and leading large teams.
• Previous Contract Catering experience is essential.
• Proven multi-site management experience.
• Strong leadership and people management skills.
• Commercial awareness, including experience managing budgets and P&L.
• Excellent communication and client relationship skills.
