About the Role

Marks Sattin is recruiting for a Group Assistant Accountant to join a leading manufacturrer in Wakefield. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated finance professional looking to progress their career in a dynamic and supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with the preparation of monthly management accounts for the Group.
  • Support in producing accurate financial reports and analysis for senior stakeholders.
  • Reconcile balance sheet accounts and ensure compliance with internal controls.
  • Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
  • Work closely with the wider finance team to ensure timely and accurate reporting.
  • Support year-end and audit processes.
  • Contribute to process improvements and efficiency initiatives within the finance function.
What We're Looking For
  • Part-qualified accountant (ACCA/CIMA) or actively studying towards qualification.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
  • Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel; experience with ERP systems is advantageous.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team and communicate effectively across departments.
  • Proactive, organised, and able to manage multiple priorities.
