CMA Recruitment Group is recruiting for a qualified Group Accountant to join a growing engineering business and support a developing group finance function. You will work closely with senior finance leadership and international teams to lead consolidated reporting across multiple entities and currencies.

The role offers exposure to IFRS accounting, tax and treasury, with opportunities to drive controls, automation, and finance transformation within a rapidly expanding organisation.

Qualifications

• Qualified accountant with ACA/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent.
• Experience in group accounting and consolidation for international/multi-entity setups.
• Strong IFRS knowledge with exposure to tax and treasury.

Responsibilities

• Lead the production of accurate consolidated reporting across a multi-entity, multi-currency group.
• Coordinate group accounting activities including foreign exchange, intercompany, and consolidation adjustments.
• Support international tax, transfer pricing, treasury and cash management activities.
• Liaise with local finance teams on statutory reporting, audits and consistent accounting standards.
• Strengthen controls and drive system improvements, automation, and group projects.

CMA Recruitment Group is recruiting on behalf of a growing Engineering business who have an opportunity for a qualified accountant to join their developing group finance function, working closely with senior finance leadership and international teams. The role offers broad exposure across reporting, consolidation, tax, treasury, controls and finance transformation.

What will the Group Accountant role involve?

• Lead the production of accurate consolidated reporting across a multi-entity, multi-currency group
• Coordinate key group accounting activities, including foreign exchange treatment, intercompany accounting and consolidation adjustments
• Support international tax, transfer pricing, treasury and cash management activities
• Work with local finance teams on statutory reporting, audit requirements and consistent application of accounting standards
• Strengthen financial controls and contribute to system improvements, automation and wider group projects

Suitable Candidate for the Group Accountant vacancy:

• A professionally qualified accountant, such as ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent
• Proven experience in group accounting and consolidation within an international or multi-entity environment
• Strong knowledge of IFRS or relevant group accounting standards, alongside exposure to tax and treasury
• Advanced Excel capability and confidence working with financial systems or consolidation tools
• A detail-focused, analytical professional who can manage deadlines, priorities and senior stakeholder relationships
