Job summary

Protocol is seeking an experienced Streetworks/Groundworks Tutor to join the education team at HMP Highpoint, Newmarket. Working on-site within the prison, you will deliver Streetworks and Groundworks qualifications up to Level 2 and help learners gain employable skills before release.

You will plan engaging lessons, monitor progress, and provide guidance to support learners toward their long-term goals. A Level 2 qualification and vocational experience are essential; teaching or assessing

Qualifications

• Level 2 Streetworks/Groundworks qualification.
• Significant vocational experience within Streetworks or Groundworks.
• Experience delivering vocational training, coaching or mentoring.
• Teaching or assessing qualification desirable.
• Ability to use a variety of training methods to support learners.
• Strong communication and organisational skills.
• Passion for helping learners progress into employment.

Streetworks/Groundworks Tutor - Prison Education

Location: HMP Highpoint, Newmarket
Salary: From £30,000 - £35,000
Contract: Permanent, Full-time

The Role

We are seeking an experienced Streetworks/Groundworks Tutor to join the education team at HMP Highpoint.

Working on-site within the prison, you will deliver Streetworks and Groundworks qualifications up to Level 2, supporting learners to develop the skills, knowledge and confidence needed to progress into employment upon release.

You will work with small groups of adult learners, creating engaging and supportive learning environments that encourage achievement, personal development and positive outcomes. You will also provide advice, guidance and ongoing support to help learners reach their full potential and achieve their long-term goals.
