Job summary

Horizon Parking Ltd is seeking a Groundworks Supervisor to join the team. The role is home-based with UK travel, using our Chelmsford base to plan weekly tasks and rota across sites. Overnight stays and day/night shifts are required.

You will supervise on-site groundworks, manage paving, drainage, foundations and related works, ensure safety compliance, and report completion using our online system. CSCS and SSSTS are required, with 12 months supervision experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 12 months experience of working in grounds maintenance supervisory role.
• Experience of using a range of power tools and equipment.
• CSCS Card and SSSTS qualifications.
• Ability to work at heights and hold a full driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Supervision of work on site, ensuring all processes are followed correctly.
• General construction work including paving, kerbing, drainage and concreting.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety policies and client requirements.
• Deliver high-quality work and complete completion reports using the online system.
• Sign permits to work on site and manage on-site safety for the team.

Horizon Parking Ltd is a car park management company, providing our various services nationwide.

Within the business, an exciting opportunity has arisen for a Groundworks Supervisor to join the team. This will be a home-based role, travelling across the UK - using our HO in Chelmsford as a base to complete your weekly rota and tasks. As such, it will require flexibility from you, for overnight stays throughout the working week (1-3 nights per week).

Please note that some of the work we do also requires us to work through the night, so you must be willing to work both day and night shifts.

What do I need to do…

As a Groundworks Supervisor, you are responsible for:

• Supervision of work on site, ensuring all processes are followed correctly.
• General construction work in line with client requirements, including paving, kerbing, installing bollards / machines / equipment, foundation work, drainage, finishing works, surfacing, concreting etc.
• Ensuring full compliance with company and on-site client health and safety policy and requirements.
• Delivering a high-quality work in line with company and client expectations.
• Undertake any other duties as may be reasonably required
• Completing Completion reports after completion of works using our online admin system.
• Signing permits to work on site
• Managing health and safety on site to protect your team and the public.

Experience Skills required:

• Minimum of 12 months experience of working in grounds maintenance supervisory role.
• Experience of using a range of power tools and equipment.
• CSCS Card.
• SSSTS
• Ability to work at heights.
• Full driving licence.

This role will require working away from home on a planned basis. Hotel accommodation and subsistence allowance is provided in line with our Expense Policy.
