A leading Groundworks contractor in London is seeking a Senior Estimator to oversee project estimating and management. The role involves consultation with clients and analysis of project requirements, ensuring efficient operations within the Business Management System. Candidates should be prepared to handle significant residential and commercial projects with values up to £10m. The position offers a competitive salary ranging from £60,000 to £120,000 based on experience.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the efficient operation of all systems in accordance with the Business Management System.
• Consult with clients, architects, subcontractors, and suppliers to discuss and formulate estimates.
• Analyse enquiry contents and advise participating departments of requirements.
• Interpret the 'Scope of Work' and formulate Sub-Contract Enquiries.
• Attend Pre-Tender Meetings and site visits, ensuring completion of necessary Site Reports.
• Perform 'Quantity Take-Offs' of materials and labour operations from drawings and specifications.

Our client has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Estimator to join their company who are one of the leading Groundworks and RC frame contractors in London.

The company is based in East London and has worked on residential and commercial projects covering all areas in London with values up to £10m.

Duties & responsibilities

• Ensure the efficient operation of all systems in accordance with the Business Management System (BMS)
• Consult with clients, architects, subcontractors, and material suppliers to discuss and formulate estimates, effect cost reductions, and resolve issues.
• Analyse enquiry contents, extracting commercial requirements and advising all interested/participating departments of the requirements
• Interpret the 'Scope of Work' and where necessary, formulate and place Sub-Contract Enquiries and appraise subsequent responses
• Attend Pre-Tender Meetings and site visits. Establishing working conditions and ensuring completion of the necessary Site Reports
• Perform 'Quantity Take-Offs' of materials and labour operations from G.A. Drawings, Schedules and Specifications. If necessary, establishing 'Bills of Quantities' and providing Bills of Materials to facilitate material supply pricing

The client is offering a salary of £60,000 - £120,000 depending on experience.
