Job summary

TipTopJob in Ellon, Aberdeenshire, is seeking a Groundworker / Surfacing Operative. You will undertake surfacing, drainage, kerbing and slabbing on commercial sites across Aberdeen and shire, supporting critical projects at schools, hospitals, airports, gas terminals and power stations.

The role requires experience in tar/asphalt surfacing, a can-do attitude, and a full driving license. Full training is provided where needed; vehicle is provided, and flexible hours are available on request.

Qualifications

• Experience of tar / asphalt surfacing essential.
• Role suited to someone who likes variation in jobs rather than housing development.
• In date certification is not as important due to full training but knowledge of the job is essential.
• Candidates must have a can-do attitude and the ability to think independently while working as part of a team.
• Must have full driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Carry out surfacing, drainage, kerbing and slabbing across Aberdeen and shire.
• Work on commercial premises supporting contracts on critical sites (schools, hospitals, airports, gas terminals, power stations).
• Operate dumpers, rollers and excavators when required.

The Company

We are an established company who specialise in; Construction, Surfacing : Tar and Concrete, Line Marking, Kerbing, Drainage as well as Winter Maintenance and Grass Cutting.

The Role

Your role will require carrying out a wide range of activities including surfacing, drainage, kerbing and slabbing throughout Aberdeen and shire. Work is mainly on commercial premises fulfilling our contracts on critical sites including schools, hospitals, airports, gas terminals and power stations.

You will also be required to operate dumpers, rollers and excavators when required.

Candidate Requirements

• Experience of tar / asphalt surfacing essential
• This role is suited to someone who likes a variation in jobs rather than a housing development.
• In date certification is not as important due to the fact that full training can be given but a knowledge of the job is essential.
• Candidates must have a can:do attitude and the ability to think on their own and work as part of a team.
• Must have full driving licence
