Job summary

A leading contractor in Greater London is seeking a Health & Safety Groundwork Advisor to support the delivery of safety on civil engineering projects. Responsibilities include reviewing Risk Assessments, overseeing contractor operations, and advising on safety legislation. Responsibilities

  • Maintain and deliver the department's Risk Assessments.
  • Keep updated with changes in Health and Safety legislation.
  • Advise managers on safety procedures implementation.

GROUNDWORK HEALTH & SAFETY ADVISOR REQUIRE

Our client is one of the leading contractors specialising in civil engineering projects with values from £500k - £20m.

An opportunity as a Health & Safety Groundwork Advisor has arisen within the company who have experience in supplying services in residential groundworks in the South East of England and London.

Duties include:
  • Support the timely and safe delivery of works on site through effective review of contractor Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS) in accordance to the companies policies and procedures.
  • Assist in the selection and appointment of competent contractors, and assist in the oversight of their operations on site.
  • Identify when Permits to Work will be required and ensure that they are issued and managed appropriately.
  • Support the maintaining and delivering of the operational department's Risk Assessments.
  • Maintain continual awareness of changes within Health and Safety legislation, Codes of Practice, British Standards and new Health and Safety literature in conjunction with the Company's Health & Safety Department.
  • Provide advice and support to the operational department's Managers and Supervisors on the implementation and monitoring of safety procedures.

The annual salary that our client is offering is £30,000 - £50,000 depending on experience.
